1. General classification of mechanical seal for glass lined reaction kettle: the seal (shaft seal) for glass lined reactor can be divided into two types: one is called packing seal; the other is mechanical seal; the other is mechanical seal; the mechanical seal is further divided into single mechanical seal (single seal) and double mechanical seal (double mechanical seal);

 

2. Principle and basic structure of mechanical seal: single mechanical seal for glass lined reactor is a mechanical seal composed of a pair of sealing end faces. The whole set includes glass lined water jacket, which is simple in structure, easy to manufacture and install, and cheap in price, However, it is generally only used in the case of good lubrication of the medium itself and a small amount of leakage is allowed Seal is more complex. In addition to water jacket (circulating cooling water), it also includes supporting bracket, balance tank, pressure gauge, etc. the double face mechanical seal has two end face seals. If the primary seal fails, the secondary seal can still be sealed to prevent leakage. The price of double face mechanical seal is expensive, but it must be used under harsh working conditions.

 

3. Confirm the factors of sealing: first, the working pressure of glass lined reactor; second, whether the nature of working materials in the reactor is volatile, flammable and explosive; third, the working temperature in the enamel reactor.

 

4. General standard method of sealing: if the glass lined reactor is working under normal temperature and pressure, and the reaction materials in the reactor are not volatile and not flammable and explosive, the packing seal can be selected; when the pressure in the reactor is less than 0.4impa, and the materials in the reactor are volatile and flammable and explosive, the single end face machine should be selected Sealing: when the working pressure of glass lined reactor is greater than 0.5MPa but less than 1MPa, and the materials in the reactor are volatile, flammable and explosive, double end mechanical seal must be selected.
