Three kinds of defect to glass lined equipment

Due to the complexity of the production process of enamel equipment in glass lined reactor, certain defects will inevitably occur in the production process. There are various reasons for the formation of glass enameling equipment in each process. Foreign scholar aldinger once analyzed the source of defects in the porcelain layer of glass lined equipment: metal embryo (material, structural form, etc.) The direct reasons for the defects are: the gas released from the reaction between the metal embryo and the enamel glaze during the firing process of the enamel equipment, the physical and chemical properties of the metal and the glaze, such as the residual stress, the chemical stability of the enamel, etc. The common defects can be classified into three categories: Porcelain explosion, cracks in porcelain layer and bubbles in porcelain layer.

The following is an introduction to the phenomenon of porcelain explosion in glass lined reactor equipment

Porcelain explosion is a kind of phenomenon that the porcelain layer of glass enamel equipment falls off, which can be regarded as a kind of mechanical action phenomenon in fact. It has a great and direct relationship with the mechanical impact force, internal stress, the structure and shape of the product, and the gas in the production process of the product. It is characterized by the shedding of large or small pieces from the embryo. Through the analysis, if it is a glass lined equipment, the surface glaze falls off from the bottom glaze If the firing time is too short or the firing temperature is too low, the bottom glaze has not yet softened, there is no good fusion between the bottom glaze and the surface glaze, the surface glaze and the surface glaze are not well fused, and the formation of the dense layer is not sufficient, and the bubbles generated between the porcelain layers are not released when the glaze melts. This kind of phenomenon can be found in the parts with small curvature radius, the parts impacted by mechanical force, the parts with concentrated stress and thick porcelain layer.
